Kellie Martin, an American actor and director of films, is popularly known for her roles as Christy Huddleston on the period drama 'Christy", Rebecca Thatcher on the drama about families Life Goes On> and Lucy Knight for the medical drama ER. Also, she is known for being the main character in the 'Hailey Dean Mystery' series. Martin's acting career started at the age of 7 when an aunt, an ex-nanny who looked after for the children of Michael Landon, helped secure the role of a character in the 1982 film 'Father Murphy.' After she graduated from Yale University in 1982, Martin decided to pursue her acting career more seriously. She was able to land important roles on TV as well as on the big screen. Martin is a professional actor and a skilled dancer and photographer, has been in the industry for the past 20 years. Her sister who passed away from Lupus at age 19, was the inspiration behind her becoming the Lupus the national spokesperson.
